ONTARIO, OH - It's a Chili Cook Off & Quarter Auction fundraiser Friday evening, 6 p.m., at Mozelle Hall at the Ashland County Fairgrounds off Clairmont Avenue in Ashland. Proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life of Ashland.

Enjoy a variety of chili recipes, from mild to spicy, and a quarter auction that will begin at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $5 per person which goes for cancer research.

Various forms of art can be enjoyed on the campus of Ashland University this weekend...

Lover's of theater can see Senior Student Andrea Disch's Senior project:  "An Evening of O'Neill" featuring an Act from the American Drama "A Moon for the Misbegotten", directed by Elizabeth Grace Newhouse.

The project will play out at the Studio Theatre at the Center for the Arts on February 25th at 7:30 p.m.

Music is in the air as the Department of Music presents their Winter Choral Concert this coming Sunday afternoon.    Hear the sounds of the Ashland University Choir and Chamber Singers, both under the direction of Rowland Blackley, conductor and Tim Guenther on the organ.

The concert will serve a dual purpose - allowing students to perform German music selections prior to their summer trip to Germany in May. 

The concert is free to the general public and will begin at 4 p.m. at the Jack and Deb Miller Chapel.

Tickets are now on sale for the 7th annual Altrusa Spring Bash featuring Dean Simms Centennial band and vocalists. They perform a wide range of music from oldies to Adele!

The Bash is the first  Saturday in March, March 4th, at the Richland County Fairgrounds and starts at 6 p.m. Port A Cook will cater.

Tickets are $25 dollars a person and yes, you can buy a full table and receive a discount. Get seats now by calling Kathy Shambre at 419-512-2073.

Galion Community Theatre presents a mystery thriller. Something is very wrong at the House on the Cliff.

The house is believed to have been a stop on the Underground Railroad and those inside begin to live out a mystery involving underground tunnels and secret stairs. Is the house haunted?

"House on the Cliff" opens to audiences this weekend with shows Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The general box office number is 419-468-2662.

    Ashland University President Carlos Campo and his wife, Karen, will serve as hosts for a seven-day trip to Cuba that will take place Sept. 11-18, 2017. The trip is open to AU alumni and friends of the University.
