Walk For Wood Event May 20 At Freer Field In Ashland

ASHLAND, OH - The National Junior Honor Society at St. Edward School in Ashland is planning a fundraising walk in honor of David Wood.

The "Walk for Wood" is from 2 to 4 p.m. on May 20 at Freer Field in Ashland.

avid Wood is the son of Sgt. Randy Wood and his wife, Vicky, who was diagnosed with B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia on December 16 of 2016.

Following extensive treatments for his disease, David is in remission, but the treatments will continue for some time to come.

The fundraising event by the National Junior Honor Society at St. Edward School will go to help with medications, driving expenses, food and other expenses.

Sgt. Wood says, quote, "the support from the Ashland County Sheriff’s Office and my wife’s work has been phenomenal. We greatly appreciate all the help and support we have received from friends and family.”
