MANSFIELD, OH - American Idol Season 9 winner Lee DeWyze will be performing a special one-off acoustic show at the Ohio State Reformatory in its famous chapel on August 27th.

Attendees will see DeWyze perform a true acoustic set, no amplification whatsoever, inside the historic OSR chapel. They’ll also receive an autographed steel souvenir mug made to look like an inmates mug, a five song CD of the show, and a signed poster designed by DeWyze himself. Beverages and hors d’oeuvres are included in the price of admission.

This concert was created after DeWyze visited OSR and fell in love with the acoustics of the chapel. He decided to play a song and record the performance which was then posted online. All in attendance were blown away by the acoustics of the venue and the feel of Lee's performance, so discussions were held with plans to hold a full performance at a later date.

You can purchase tickets (VIP passes have already sold out) on TicketWeb under "Lee DeWyze live from Shawshank". As of August 8th, they are available in very limited quantities and are expected to sell out.
