WMFD's Joe Lyons Honored At Mifflin Lions Club

ASHLAND, OH - WMFD's Joe Lyons was given a certificate of appreciation at the Mifflin Lions Club annual awards banquet on Saturday for his work in the Ashland community. 

Lyons runs the Ashland County Pictures page on Facebook and responds to breaking news, such as accidents, crime scenes, and more. Mifflin Township Fire Department Chief James Bittinger presented Joe Lyons the certificate.  

"Joe seems to go above and beyond for a lot of things." Cheif Bittinger said.

Recently, Joe has been working on taking pictures for the Ashland Fallen Firefighters Memorial. Joe sends discs containing his photos to different agencies on events that he has covered.
