6 Arrested In Ashland Drug Bust On Cleveland Ave

ASHLAND, OH - Thursday, March 16, officers from the Ashland Police Division, Ashland Special Response Team and the METRICH Enforcement Unit executed a search warrant at 1423 Cleveland Ave, Room 9, in the City of Ashland.

Officers seized suspected methamphetamine, drug abuse instruments, drug paraphernalia, and evidence related to drug trafficking.

Arrested at the scene were Steven Johnson, 41, and Shana Rhoades, 20, both of that address. Also arrested were Joey Cruz, 28, and Nicholas Mateo, 39, both of Ashland. Mateo had a warrant for his arrest out of Ashland Municipal Court.

Later in the day Officers contacted Ashlea Roberts, 24, who was arrested as part of the investigation. She was accompanied by Malcom Evege, 22, of Mansfield who arrested on a warrant out of Ashland Municipal Court. 

The investigation led to the removal of an 18-month-old child at an address on SR 511 with the assistance of Ashland County Children Services and the Ashland County Sheriff's Office. 

The investigation is being forwarded to the Ashland County Prosecutor's Office for review.
