Wilbert "Bill" Selmon Sr., 80, of Mansfield, passed away Monday afternoon, March 13, 2017, at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital. He was born April 8, 1936, in Mississippi, to the late John and Mary (Watson) Selmon.

On March 5, 1954, he married his sweetheart, Annie Hargrove. They moved to Mansfield in 1955 and he began working at Humphrey's for a short time. Bill then got hired at Ohio Brass and worked there until his retirement. Bill was a former member of the Masonic Lodge F&AM. He enjoyed working with his hands and tinkering on cars. Bill was preceded in death by his parents and three siblings, Watt Selmon, Jessie Brooks and Johnnie Mae Watkins.

The family will receive friends from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Friday, March 24, 2017, at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home conducted by Rev. James Watkins, Jr. and Rev. Willie Mack.
